What to Expect During Your SkinPen Treatment
Before treatment: Your provider will gently cleanse your skin. A topical numbing cream may be applied to keep you comfortable.
During treatment: The SkinPen treatment itself takes about 1 hour. Including numbing time, your full appointment may last up to an hour, which makes it easy to fit in before work or over a lunch break. To finish, we may apply a soothing post-treatment product, such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or a nourishing serum, followed by a moisturizer suited to your skin and sun protection.
After treatment: Your skin may look slightly pink to red, similar to a mild sunburn. This is normal and typically subsides within 24 to 72 hours. Treated skin is temporarily more sensitive, so daily sunscreen is essential.
When Will I See Results?
Some patients notice refreshed, rejuvenated skin after just one treatment, and results can continue to improve for three to six months after your final session.
